50,000 investment to meet the demands of US market

DB Systems has invested approximately £50,000 in new screens to help meet the demands from the US exhibition and event industry.

The 42” LG LCD Widescreen Full HD Capable Monitors are ideal for DB’s existing and future customers who wish to run high resolution video content on their stands and exhibits. The screens are also brighter and sharper than traditional plasma screens.

Oliver Richardson, sales director of DB, said: “The feedback we’ve received from the US points to a demand for this type of technology. DB is an ambitious company and we want a presence in the US exhibition and event market, which is why we made the decision to invest in this technology.

“This investment also strengthens our standing as a leading audio-visual and IT rental company in the UK with a strong financial standing. Our financial strength is further exemplified by the fact that we invested approximately £300,000 on new NEC MultiSync 46” LCD video wall modules earlier this summer.

“Despite the industry experiencing some difficult trading times, DB is a thriving and confident company, which delivers a first class service.”

DB is currently preparing for a busy September, which will see it act as an official contractor for all 12 events it is attending.

Among the events are:

  • International Jewellery Show, the UK’s only dedicated jewellery event (Earl’s Court, 6th – 9th Sept).
  • Offshore Europe 2009, the largest upstream oil and gas event outside North America (Aberdeen, 8th – 11th Sept).
  • Labelexpo Europe 2009, a major global event for the label, product decoration, web printing and converting industry (Brussels, 23rd – 26th Sept).
  • Labour Party Annual Conference (Brighton, 26th – 1st Oct).
