Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 Case Study
MWC is the world’s biggest exhibition for the mobile phone industry. DB was the official AV contractor.
Objective:
- Supplied IT and AV equipment and services for almost 100 individual projects.
- Provided bespoke 2D and 3D graphics, animation and interactive content.
The main challenge DB faced was the shear size and scale of being the official AV supplier for this event, which was attended by around 1,300 companies and 50,000 key decision makers.
Solution:
- Ensured it had high quality equipment ready for use by exhibitors. This meant using three 40-foot trailers to transport tens of thousands of pounds worth of equipment from the UK to the event in Barcelona.
- 30 DB technicians were onsite full-time for two weeks to install and manage the systems and provide an unrivalled service.
