Partnership to supply advanced multi-touch technology
DB Systems, the global audio-visual company, has become
a partner of Swedish technology company, Natural User Interface
(NUI), allowing the UK firm to provide highly advanced multi-touch
technology to the events and exhibition industry.
The partnership will see DB Systems enhance its own multi-touch
technology by integrating NUI’s Suite Snowflake multi-touch
software solution into its existing platform.
Multi-touch technology is an innovative piece of equipment allowing
multiple users to touch the same screen simultaneously and use a
variety of programmes and features to perform numerous operations,
all at the same time.
DB originally showcased its own multi-touch technology at the 2008
Farnborough International Airshow. At the event, DB produced a
multi-touch table for the BAE Systems exhibit. This multi-touch
table was the first working version to be displayed in the
UK.
While DB has a long established reputation for providing bespoke AV
and IT solutions, this partnership with NUI will strengthen
DB’s position within the exhibition industry by expanding its
portfolio of interactive products for exhibition organisers and
stand designers.
Oliver Richardson, DB’s Sales Director, comments: "DB is
delighted with the NUI partnership. Requests within the exhibition
industry for interactive multi-touch solutions have been increasing
rapidly.
“By working closely together with NUI, we can offer our
clients a professional and complete combined solution of hardware,
software and services. NUI’s dedicated and flexible support
are just a couple of its strongest assets that made us decide to
engage into a partnership to integrate NUI Suite Snowflake in to
our products."
NUI CEO, Harry van der Veen, added: "The road towards the
partnership was very pleasant. We have been closely working
together and NUI is glad to continuously see so much passion from
DB to deliver this new product to their clients. DB Systems is a
very strong international player within their specific industry and
we are looking forward to continue working with them on our
long-term focus relationship. The UK is an important country within
Europe for our business, so we are very keen to work with
DB.”
