Although we usually use this opportunity to draw attention to the goings-on in the wider events industry and provide our opinions on developments - whether it be for recently hosted events or the latest move from an events business – today, we’re drawing the attention to ourselves.

Here at DB Systems we recently invested £100,000 in CCTV solutions for events and, as a result, have been mentioned on the Exhibition News website. We had planned on extending our digital video and mounting equipment range for a while in order to meet the increase in demand we had experienced for networked CCTV solutions.

We originally trial-ran our new equipment at the SPE Offshore Europe (OE) event at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) in early September. The Samsung Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras we chose are some of the best on the market, offering amazing visibility and manoeuvrability for event organisers – plus they are easy to both set up and use.

The installation of camera equipment was the “natural next step” for us, as Oliver Richardson said: “We’ve been supplying secure networks to operate CCTV cameras for years so supplying and installing the actual camera equipment” was the obvious direction in which to go.

Ben Gleeson, the group operations manager for Reed Exhibitions – the OE organisers – said: “We were really pleased with the CCTV DB Systems installed and were particularly impressed by the mobile capabilities which means we could monitor any part of the site at any time from any location.”

The CCTV solutions helped to improve the efficiency of the OE teams, and also saved significant amounts of time for professionals working across the large site.
We’re always seeking to expand our offerings to incorporate the latest in event tech and viable event solutions. What do you think should be our next step in expanding our capabilities?
