With just under a month until the opening of the world famous Paris Air Show, technicians from DB Systems (www.dbsystems.co.uk) are busy installing a wide array of bespoke AV and IT systems.
Amongst the most impressive pieces of technology being supplied by the global audio-visual company is a sophisticated multi-touch table. This 52 inch table will allow multiple users to touch the same screen simultaneously and use a variety of programmes and features to perform numerous operations.
DB Systems is at the forefront of multi-touch technology having originally showcased a multi-touch table at the 2008 Farnborough International Air Show. That was the first working example to be displayed in the UK.
Integrated office systems for 26 of the large business chalets at the air show will also be provided by DB Systems. During the show, the chalets become large-scale semi-permanent business centres, which are used by companies as offices and hospitality areas.
In each of the 26 chalets, just over half of the total number of chalets, DB will supply and install a variety of systems, such as networks, monitors, desktop PCs, projectors and teleconferencing facilities.
Oliver Richardson, DB’s Sales and Marketing Director, commented: “The Paris Air Show is one of the world’s biggest events for the aerospace and aviation industry and we are supplying enough AV and IT equipment to fill two 40ft lorries.
“This shows that despite the tough trading conditions in
the AV industry, DB is a company that has developed a trusted
reputation for not only delivering first class service, but also
demonstrating our commitment to investing in and supplying new
technologies to our clients.”
